My name is Govinda, a natural-born lucid dreamer and creative. I believe I am called to help bring back the importance and sacred practice of Dreaming. Through Lucid be, I can share a practice devoted to exploring the purpose and power of lucid dreaming. My work is to guide dreamers through workshops, retreats, and creative experiences that weave together self-exploration and the joy of dream sharing.
In the ancient times, dreams are viewed as messages from the gods and even had gods named after them: Hypnos, Somnus, and of course pop culture’s favorite, Morpheus. Dreams in indigenous cultures are viewed as sacred, where our Souls travel to realms beyond ours. Tribes gather every morning and it’s part of the community’s rituals to share their dreams. If you gain access to their full capacity, you unlock divination and even healing powers. Dreams were a big deal then. Dreams never fail to give us magic, why then should we stop giving attention?
I have been recording my dreams since around 1994, during my high school years. Initially, I didn’t consider the benefits, nor was I aware of the concept of lucid dreaming. My primary motivation was simply to keep a record of the extraordinary and mystical experiences I get from my dreams. Plus, I love how synchronicities play quite often.
Little did I know that by documenting my dreams, I was actually honing my innate ability to become fully conscious within the dream state.
The goal is to stay lucid in all our states: waking, dreaming, and ultimately, dreamless.
Practice with me. Lucid be! 🖤
